Southern Woods Plantation

Southern Woods Plantation offers guests great southern style quail hunting in Georgia’s “bobwhite belt”—a region of southern Georgia and northern Florida known for its dense bobwhite quail populations and long tradition of hunting.

At Southern Woods the quail are plentiful and the plantation staff is kind and courteous. Professional hunting guides and well-trained dogs lead hunters through the classic quail hunting terrain, conducting hunts from one of the plantation’s specially designed four-person buggies.

Accommodations

The lodge at Southern Woods has 20 comfortably appointed bedrooms each with a private bath. Overnight guests enjoy morning and afternoon hunts and a full plantation breakfast and lunch. In the evening, there is a social time for relaxing followed by a delicious meal. Southern Woods also welcomes guests to hunt for the day and enjoy a southern-style lunch.
