QUAIL

In the heart of the classic plantation belt, a 100 mile strip of land through Southern Georgia and North Florida, Red Pebble Plantation is a wing shooter's paradise. The open woodlands, native grasses of sage and wiregrass and moderate temperatures are all components that provide exceptional wildlife habitat for the Bobwhite Quail, Prince of all game birds.

On a typical hunting day, the professionally trained staff of dog trainers and hospitable guides is equipped to accommodate the clients with all the necessities of a southern, traditional quail hunt. Custom designed "bird buggies" provide the sportsman comfort while the champion, ancestry bloodline of bird dogs perform top notch. Red Pebble hosts a variety of breeds including English Pointer’s, Setters, Brittany Spaniels, German Short Hairs and Labrador retriever's.

Our pre-release program begins in mid September to allow ample time for the young birds to become more native to the habitat. Full day hunts are offered as well as half day depending on the client's endurance and passion for the sport.

DEER

The sportsman at Red Pebble Plantation knows what to expect as dawn breaks in the eastern sky. The knowledgeable and accommodating guides have strategically placed the hunter in the best position to harvest a white tail; taking into consideration wind, weather and deer movement.   The wait begins… Red Pebble Plantation, legendary for its trophy deer, is respected for their wildlife rich environment.  Impressive hardwoods and carefully monitored food plots and crops provide the deer with ample nutrition and security cover; resulting in larger wild game.

Peak season begins mid-November and runs through the end of the month. A limited number of memberships for the season are sold on a first come basis.  Quality deer management is enforced; engaging the hunter with an opportunity for a trophy buck. In the 2007/2008 season, a record non-typical buck was taken with a green score of 180 and a body weight of 275 lbs.

BOAR

Herds of hunted wild hogs are estimated to be found in a minimum of thirty-eight states. The land stretching from Texas to Florida is the heart of free range wild hog hunting.  Red Pebble Plantation supports the year-round sport with respect and professionalism.  
 
With experienced guides, Red Pebble caters to seasoned veterans as well as the first time hunter.  Double Run Creek travels throughout the entire 3000 acres of the preserve, creating a generous amount of bottom land to accommodate the large supply of wild boar hogs.  The average weight for a Red Pebble “trophy boar” is 220 lbs.

LODGING AND ACCOMMODATIONS

Born are the days where distractions are few.  Escaping from deadlines to find an exclusive retreat to regroup is the name of the game at Red Pebble Plantation.
A rustic yet refined, newly constructed 7000 square foot lodge awaits the guests of Red Pebble.  Six bedrooms and private bathrooms offer convenience and comfort with two bedrooms being handicap accessible.  An open area "great room" complete with a large screen television, massive stone fireplace, and wet bar will ensure that guests can unwind and recapture the day's hunt with friends and colleagues in a relaxed, carefree atmosphere.

Other amenities include internet access, a card playing area, pool table, pro shop and a full commercial kitchen with spacious dining areas Outdoors, guest can gather around the stone fire pit and enjoy the cool, brisk air or take a break, rocking on the front porch that overlooks a southern Georgia, long leaf pine setting.   No expenses have been spared; providing guests with lasting comfort and privacy throughout their stay at Red Pebble Plantation.

LOCATION

Red Pebble Plantation is situated near the crossroads of Ga. Hwy 159 And Ga. Hwy 90. We are Headquartered 10 miles off Interstate - 75. We are an easy drive from just about anywhere. We have two 5000-foot runways at Cordele Airport, with ILS that can accommodate most personal and corporate aircraft if you prefer to fly in.
